The reason most people do not achieve their goals is because they do not define them. Goal setting is about defining what you want to be, to have or to do. What is important to you. By setting goals, we focus our aims. By setting milestones, we maintain our motivation while recognising the progress made.
To set your goal, I will guide you by following a set of questioning to identify what you want, what your motivations are, and get you started to how you will achieve it. The goal you set needs to be fully aligned with your core values, it needs to be outcome focused, and stated in a positive way. Goals also need to be SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time bound)
The goal settings session is usually the initial step of a longer coaching journey.
